Authorities in Iowa have captured the suspected gunman in the ambush-style attacks early Wednesday morning that claimed the lives of two police officers who were sitting in their patrol cars. Officers arrested 46-year-old Scott Michael Greene without incident in Dallas County, west of Des Moines, police told Fox News.     LOUISVILLE, Ky. –  A Louisville police detective stopped to ask a man for directions for a late-night meal when both pedestrians were struck and killed by an alleged drunken driver in Lexington, Kentucky, authorities said. Detective Jason Schweitzer was visiting Lexington for a Fraternal Order of Police conference. His death early Saturday was announced on the Louisville Metro Police Department's Facebook page. Seven firefighters from Engine 40 and Ladder 35 in Manhattan allegedly poked fun at an African-American firefighter. The punishment included the loss of 15 vacation days and the loss of pay, ranging from three to 30 days, according to the New York Post.
